Occupational Safety & Health

Cultivating the culture of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) has been the Group's priority in ensuring a safe and healthy environment for its staff and the community at large. The Group's commitment to OSH is reflected through the establishment of three sector-based committees namely, Forestry, Corporate Services, besides Agriculture and Manufacturing.

The Group's involvement in OSH is extensive that through its wholly-owned company, Rakyat Berjaya Sdn. Bhd. (RBJ), the Group was given the trust to implement the Mentor-Mentee Programme by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) in 2014. Through this programme, Government-Linked Companies were given the responsibility as mentors in guiding companies in the Small and Medium Industries to improve OSH practices in their respective premises. As a mentor, RBJ implements appropriate training and guidance on matters relating to occupational safety and health to its contractors while being monitored by DOSH as the facilitator.

The Group, through RBJ, has been recognised for its OSH practices and has been awarded the National Excellence Award on OSH under the Forestry Category since 2006 for ten consecutive years. This significant achievement further pushes the Group to make a step forward in OSH practices.
