9 November 1965 Tun Datu Haji Mustapha bin Datu Harun proposed the establishment of Yayasan Sabah at old cinema, Mesapol, Sipitang. 30 November 1965 A draft bill was prepared and deliberated at the Executive Committee of Parti Perikatan Sabah before it was debated in Sabah State Legislative Assembly. 3 December 1965 The draft bill was published in the local newspapers to acquire feedback from the public. 16 December 1965 Tun Datu Haji Mustapha bin Datu Harun invited Datuk Professor Zainal Abidin bin Abdul Wahid, a lecturer from the History Department, University of Malaya to conduct a study on the education system in Sabah. 19 December 1965 Datuk Professor Zainal Abidin bin Abdul Wahid started the study on the education system in Sabah. 22 December 1965 Datuk Professor Zainal Abidin bin Abdul Wahid submitted his report on the proposed roles of Yayasan Sabah in improving the education level in Sabah. |

16-26 August 2017 The 4th Imbak Canyon Scientific Expedition in Batu Timbang organised by the Yayasan Sabah Group, led by the Sabah Forestry Department and funded by PETRONAS. 6 February 2018 Galleria Artisan received the Fair Trade Tourism Select Accredited Outlet Recognition Certificate from the Kota Kinabalu City Hall during its Fair Trade Tourism Select outlet (Handicraft and Craft category) in a ceremony at Tun Hamdan Theatre, Menara Tun Mustapha. 24 March 2018 Yayasan Sabah Group through Pusat Kraftangan Sabah (PKS) paints a new record in the Malaysia Book of Records for the longest hand-painted batik. PKS collaborated with six schools namely SM St. Francis Xavier Keningau, SMK Gunsanad, SMK Gunsanad 2, SMJK Ken Hwa, SMK Keningau and Kolej Vokasional Keningau with Sabah Visual Arts Association, Kolej Teknikal Yayasan Sabah (KTYS) and University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF) in painting batik at 2,583.8 meter-long. 1 July 2018 Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Mohd.
