Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions

Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC)
The Group is committed to enhancing the State's economy through the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), which serves as the venue for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE). As a flagship project under the Group, the SICC positions Sabah as a distinguished destination for business events. This state-of-the-art facility exemplifies the Group's commitment to fostering sustainable socio-economic development through the attraction of global conferences, generating business opportunities, and promoting Sabah's unique cultural and natural heritage.

Strategically located in Kota Kinabalu, SICC boasts panoramic views of the South China Sea and Mount Kinabalu, providing visitors with an inspiring backdrop that seamlessly blends nature and modernity. The Convention Centre spans 153,000 square metres and is equipped with versatile spaces designed to host a range of events, from large international conferences and exhibitions to smaller, intimate meetings and corporate functions. Its largest space, the Sipadan Hall, can accommodate up to 8,000 guests, making it one of the largest venues in East Malaysia.

SICC is one of the key drivers of Sabah's business events industry, playing a vital role in positioning the State as a gateway to the Asia-Pacific region. The Convention Centre also makes a significant contribution to Sabah's tourism sector, generating substantial economic activity and benefiting local businesses, including hotels, restaurants, and transportation services. The Centre provides a platform to showcase Sabah's rich biodiversity, indigenous culture, and conservation efforts, further enhancing its reputation as a responsible and sustainable destination.

As part of the Group's broader mission, SICC advances its socio-economic agenda by creating employment opportunities and upskilling local talent in the hospitality, event management, and service sectors. The Centre's collaborations with local and international organisations, including those in education and environmental conservation, align with the Group's vision of inclusive growth and sustainability.

SICC is a testament to the Group's forward-thinking vision to integrate business, culture, and environmental stewardship. Through SICC, the Group aspires to make Sabah a hub for knowledge exchange, networking, and global collaboration, fostering long-term growth for the State and its people.
